Yeah you'd be suprised how many times I get flamed because the subtleties of sarcasm seem to be lost here.

Actually it didn't used to be this way. Maybe as the GW community shrinks, more of the younger crowd is around. As a general rule you need decades of life kicking your *ss before you can truely appreciate sarcasm. (and irony)

Everquest probably has the best method of defeating gold sellers and that hassle, they endorse only their own version of virtual item auctions for RMT. Its a progressive step that would work great here and with any future NC soft games. If I ever needed to buy anything I would rather go through a trustworthy guaranteed service than take my chances with something else. Also they can take a cut of each auction, just like ebay does.
